    Shuttle XP61G2 issue

I have a problem with my system booting. I have a Shuttle XPC61G2 SFF (http://us.shuttle.com/specs2.asp?pro_id=283)
    P4 2.4GHz 800MHz FSB
    512 MB DDR400
    SoundBlasher Live! Audigy
    ATI 9700pro
    Integrated Lan
    Samsung Combo drive

    Here's the problem:
If I go to reboot my machine, it goes through the process, and then when it gets back into Windows, the start-up sound plays...then it suddenly gets garbled and the machine reboots. In another sound-related problem, during Unreal Tournament 2003, I play the game for about 10 mins and suddenly the sound gets garbled and everything freezes causing me to reboot. If I reboot several times in a row, it eventually will get back to the desktop, but with a message saying ' your computer has recovered from a serious error'...and references a 'minidump' file which I am unable to decipher.

The OS is XP, and it's a brand-new shiny installation with all the latest drivers from ATI, Creative, Intel, etc.

It's not a heat issue that I can tell since my temps are within normal range for this little Shuttle...I am thinking that it could be the sound card...this Audigy card has been in several prior machines, perhaps it's going bad?? Do sound cards go bad? Could it be a memory problem? I have 2 sticks of 256 DDR400...could it be too little memory? Or bad memory?

Every component in the PC is new except the sound card. Any suggestions? Things I'm not considering?

Yep...this is a brand-spankin' clean install of XP pro with SP1 and all other patches. There's no spyware or viruses either...

Try maybe taking out the sound card and turning on the integrated sound and see if it happens, then u can rule out the soundcard
