Welcome to the forum! sorry for the drive issues
usually it means the hard drive is dying....you need a new drive....then you either have to reinstall windows from scratch..or use a program like norton ghost to copy the old drive to the new one..and then you might have to reinstall windows over the top of the errors to fix them etc....
the new drives usually come with software to copy drives over to a new drive...but i dont trust any of that software!! I trust norton ghost! There are too many horror stories about people trying to use the western digital or maxtor software etc....
if you have a cd burner now would be a GOOD time to start burning your data and pictures etc onto cd's..cuz that drive could fail at any moment!
