CD will not autoplay or change to the name of the CD...

Before, when I insert a CD into the drive, it would autoplay or prompt me how I would like to open it plus display the name of the CD like this...

Music Files (D:)

but now it doesn't autoplay or update to the name of the CD, it would just stay as...

DVD-RW Drive (D:)

When I reboot with the CD inside and view My Computer then it would finally show as 'Music Files (D:)'.

But even if I eject the CD then, it would still stay as 'Music Files (D:)' (when it should normally look like 'DVD-RW Drive (D:)', which is usually how it is when the drive is empty). And if I insert a different CD from that point on, it would still stay as 'Music Files (D:)' and not update to the new CD name.

I'm not going to reboot every time just to see what the name of the CD is! I know it's not a hardware problem because I can still view the content on the CD just fine.

I tried everything; hit refresh, used a registry cleaner, toggled auto-play on/off but no luck!

YAY!!!!! I found a fix at http://help.lockergnome.com/index.php?showtopic=6968

I went to my registry... HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\CDRom
and value was set to 0, so I manually set it to 1 and it worked.

I wonder why stupid Windows wouldn't set it to 1 for me when I kept selecting Enable Auto-play.
