    My Conputer won't boot

My computer will not boot. When i turn it on, it gives me a long beep and no screen.
It happened right after i put the cound card in. Also i repositioned the hsf when i put the sound card in. I need help ASAP.

I would pull the sound card back out. Also make sure the heatsink/fan is plugged into the proper power connector. Try and boot it up. Let us know the results.

when you remounted the hsf, did you clean it and reapply new thermal compound?

other than that elroy has a good idea.

A loud single beep is your video card. You may have nudged it when you installed the sound card. Unplug the computer and re-seat the video card while removing the sound card. If it boots ok, install the sound card. Did you disable the on board sound ????

    Check the memory slots also.

I posted after i repositioned my graphic card 3 times and it hadn't rebooted yet. Just a quick question what is the best sound card under 20 dollars? my onboard one is dead and i am using one from another computer. I need any sound card that has MiDi port and its full duplex
