Monitor Power Problems.. *Please Help Me*
Hey everyone..
My parents just got home from vacation today, and my mom went to go turn her power on to the monitor, and the green light started clicking and flashing, then she unplugged it and turned it back on but it wouldnt start..
Now if it is plugged into the computer, the monitor light will be green, but it's getting no power and showing no image. If the monitor is plugged into the computer it has a green light on the monitor, but the monitor wont turn on if its just connected to a power source. I think the power might have blown. Is this possible for a monitor to die? She has had it since 1998 I mean...I think it's kinda ironic that it happened right when she got home from vacation so she could blame it on me.
Now I got in huge trouble for this because of course she blames it on me, and she's beyond angry.
You don't know my mom and how obessed she is with her e-mail and her computer.
She beat the **** outta me, and smashed my laptop and I have no idea what to do.
If anyone can please help me to fix it ASAP, I would appreciate it...
Please refrain from using profanity in TechIMO.

Sorry, I really dont know how to help you.
You could:
1) Buy her a new monitor as a present. Maybe she will stop beating you and destroying your stuff.
2) Move out.
3) Fix the monitor, how you'd go about doing that I'm not sure.

you may wish to edit your post we don't appreciate that type of language here.
BeatYouWithShoe if your not going to post something productive or helpfull maybe you shouldn't post anything at all
It may have nothing to do with the monitor at all it might be a problem with a bad graphics card. I assume you don't have another monitor available?? or any possiblities of borrowing one?? Are you using on-board graphics or a video card?? do you have another to test in the system?

I don't have another monitor..
Not sure about what card it is..
I just think it's something with the power because the monitor is dead even when its plugged in.
