Creative SB Live! LS 5.1 not recognized?

Running Xp on one partition, and 2k Pro on the other. SB Live LS was easily recognized and installed in XP, but I'm having some problems with Windows 2k. Upon trying to use the factory CD that came with it or using the driverpack from Sound Blaster's support section, I get the error stating that "no Sound Blaster card has been detected on your system."

Until I somehow get this driver installed, I have no Sound when using 2k. Thoughts? Comments? lol

no conflicts, but of course, the sound card is showing up as an unknown multimedia controller.

did that, and it asks for a file on the SB driver disk that is there, but it refuses to use it.

I was just looking at the SB Live! LS box in Wal-Mart today before I found your post.

I recall special instructions on the bottom/side of the box for Win2000 instatllations. I remember it because I thought it strange to see such special info written on the box itself.

Strange thing too - the www.soundblaster.com website has no info about the LS model at all, just the Live!

What is the LS anyway?
