need help popups.

ok every time i go away from my pc random pop ups just show up on my desktop (gambling pop up) is there any software that could stop this.

thanks.

another one is warning your computer might be infected with spyware box

yeah use Firefox http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

or if you dont want to use firefox you can download http://toolbar.google.com/

So you're suggesting the PC waits until you're not looking???


Try Popup Stopper! Works great for me...free too.

Be sure to run Adaware and Spybot (do updates first), found here:

Spybot

Scan your pc with an anti virus program and then run Adaware and Spybot as mentioned above. Note that some of the people that give out the spyware actually have ads on websites saying you might have spyware, click here. They are usually made to look like a warning from your pc. Then they give you some spyware when you click on their ad. The spyware/adware problem is now more prevelant than viruses.
