HP OfficeJet T65 & XP Pro

I have the XP install disc and have tried to get scanner working, seems there is a problem with twain32. Printer works fine but there is a communication error when scanning.

AMD Athlon64 3200+
Asus K8V SE Deluxe MoBo
512 MB Kingston RAM
120 GB Maxtor HDD

I have uninstalled, shut down completely, restarted and reinstalled drivers. so far hasnt worked.

Any ideas?

Did you install the OfficeJet software that came with the printer?

Yeah, it is the HP OfficeJet XP install disk that I had to order from HP because the All-In-One is so old that it still uses Parallel connection.

BTW I am in San Antonio too...Redland & 1604 here.

Already have the XP drivers from HP on CD. Have checked the unit on a WIN98 machine and it works fine, so I know its not the cable and/or the AIO

I figured out the problem...it was the BIOS setting. I had set for Bi-Directional when it should be ECP.
