New Dx 9.0c prob need help

as i try to install dx 9.0c the files download it goes to the installing check box and sits on initializing, ive restarted crypt services rebooted several times i even tried reinstalling 9.0b and when i run 9.0b the same thing happens, im a gamer and i have several services disabled anyone have any ideas what could be causing this ? thanks

first off..I didnt know 9c was available...you getting it from windows site??

I saw some of those same warnings lately when doing updates...I usually turn off "BITS" and "crypto" and lots of other services...as per www.blackviper.com

maybe you will have to enable all those junk services to do the downlaods? then disable em afterwards?

rather than go for an online dx 9c install, i downloaded the redistributable (same thing) here and installed manually.

might work for you.

I havent heard about any beta etc....or do they do betas for just "c" "d'" etc releases?

have u tried setting your services back to the defaults

run--services.msc

click--help--help topics--services tab--services--concepts--default settings for services
