Bios problem: given Acer aspire, mb # V12LC
undefinedundefined I was given an Acer aspire and was able to upgrade the processer to a 133 mhz. The blue startup screen reads the hard drive as a 3 gig but in the bios it only reads it as a 1.2 gig hard drive. It also refuses to format anything larger than 1 gig. Is there a bios flash for this board. I've been to acer and couldn't find a flash utility for this motherboard. Please help me.

if Acer doesn't have the files on hand, then there probably isn't one available. I would try e-mailing them with your request. they might have some that they just don't have on their website.

Whoa! Prehistoric! Well, almost. Found this in a museum:

No MMX support, even. Check what position your JP3 is in. It may not even have a software reflashable bios chip. (Might need a UV eprom eraser, or even a replacement chip)
Hmm. THIS isn't encouraging.
