Saving emails to CD-RW
I am having a problem in saving email messages to CD.
My Cd drives are working well in playing audio cds.
When I save as from Outlook Express to Disk:F I get the message there at Files waiting to be save to CD ...but when I click on save the next message informs me that there is no CD in the Drive.
There is a cd in the drive and checking through "My Computer" it selects the CD and shows correctly that no files are on the CD.
When I place a loaded CD in the drive it show correctly that files are there.
Simply: How do I get emails to a CD?
Mike

Welcome to the forum!
do you have to format the cd first?
I know when you use Roxio's Direct Cd or Nero's InCD you have to format the cd first
otherwise you can just use Nero or Roxio to save all the .dbx files..which will be your email folders
or you can copy the C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Identities folder...and it has all the email stuff in it..and if you want to restore them later you just go to outlook express "file-import" etc

4GB is about the minimum you want for good performance. I kicked up to 8 and I noticed the difference. Especially in games.
