Memory problem

Hey, i got a question. I recently installed 512MB of pc2700 memory into my computer. I added on to my original 512. The original 512 is double sided memory and the new kind i installed is single sided. My system specs are.

AMD XP 3200+
nvidia nforce 2 motherboard
1 gig of pc2700 memory
radeon 9800 pro
160 GB harddrive.

Since i installed the added memory, every game that i play (far cry, bf:vietnam, call of duty) crashes to my desktop. My system is running very smooth with the new memory and is very fast but at any time my game will crash to the destop. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

I can not get that program to work. It will not load in DOS. Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You may have a slight compatibility problem between the two sticks.
Or the 2nd stick is poor quality, can't handle the severe workout that the game gives it.
Windows loads from the top down on ram.
I'd pull the original, run with just the new stick, see if it still crashes in games. If not, you've got compatibility issues. (The two dimms don't work well together on heavy load).
If it crashes with just the new dimm, you've got poor quality or faulty ram. Try backing off all your ram settings in bios to more conservative settings, and run game again. Try the gamer benchamrks too. (3dMark, etc).
Did you try memtest86? Always works for me.

I cant get any of the memory testers to work from a floppy disk, so i dont know what im gonna do. Do any of u think if i get double sided memory it would be more compatible?
