My laptop has a virus in it. I can't seem to boot the machine up anymore. Is there some type of rescue disk for win2k where you can boot from floppy disk and scan for virus?
Trendmicro and Norton only has win95/98 rescue disks available.
I'm not sure if this will help. I can't even get in to my OS. So, do I just save the .exe file on a floppy and boot from the floppy and AVERT Stinger will automatically check my drives?
Can't boot from floppy. I get a Can't find Operating System. I tried booting from dos boot disk and it gave me a can't find ntldr error.
I tried booting from win2k cd for a fresh install, that didn't work either.
The issue is I can boot fine but when it's loading the win2k os it goes to about half way mark then it just hangs. Only if I can get to a dos drive. Not sure what else to do...
Yes, I've tried just about everything. I tried installing Win2K and it couldn't find my hard drive. It's probably a virus... I think my HD is gone... Is there a way to reset everything? I will most likely use this laptop as a back up from now on.
