| XP Pro RUN Command: Can't View Info
Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer this question...
Strange things happening with our online activities, and we're trying to run some tests to see what [or whom] might be up [to no good].
Every command we run [beginning with ipconfig /all] has the info flying by so quickly we cannot read it. /p doesn't work, and neither does pause screen. No relevant switches listed in the help file, either.
Might someone be able to tell us how to set our [XP Pro SP/1] systems so we can see what the hell is going on?
Merci!

Welcome to the forum!
I think you need to just open up the command prompt first...
if u run dos type stuff fromt he run box it just pops up the command prompt then closes it
go to programs/accesories then youll see "command prompt"
open it first..then type the commands in there

I'd read the original post wrong, I'd assumed MVM had already opened a command prompt window. |

From the sound of it, he is just typing "ipconfig" under Run. What would cause it to close right after it's done.
First, type "cmd" to get to the command prompt. Then type "ipconfig" and Enter. If there's too much info, the window will remain and you can scroll up and down. |

Wow. I can't believe how quickly so many of you jumped in to help. WOW! And, I can't believe I never thought of running the freakin' tests from the cmd prompt. DUH! Though in my defense [should this ever wind up in court], one of the first things I noticed [and despised] about xp was the seeming eradication of my beloved dos...
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, one and all,
