Hi,
The computer was working fine, but then started randomly rebooting. I put the HD into another computer and run it through Adaware, Spybot, The Cleaner and PCCillin virus scanner and did not have any problems.
It is a PIII 733 computer wth ATI 3D rage Pro video card and on board sound. Not sure what the motherboard is, but there is a MSI boot chart for 4 lights on the board. All the lights are green before it reboots.
I have run a memory test program to check the Ram, and it is good.
I went as far as formating the HD and installing a fresh version of 98se. I then tried a second HD to make sure it wasn't the HD failing. But still have the problems.
After all the above when it goes to start, it will load to the desktop most of the time. But as soon as I select anything it will reboot. Some times it will sit for a few minutes on its own and then will reboot. It will work fine in safe mode. I also went in to the system configuration and deselected all the startup options and it still reboots.
Any idea's?
Thanks
Rod
