Advantage of dual channel memory?

What is the advantage of dual channel memory, or is there?
Go with it if its an option or not?

it all depends on what you do with your pc . in your case i would say no , and that is because you are asking the question .

dual channel will run faster than single channel . but for the most part u will only really see the difference in benchmarks .

i have run dual channel boards and non -dual channel...never have noticed a difference...i even have run 266DDR and DDr400 and never noticed a difference...lol

but i don't run heavy programs ....so maybe there is an advantage somewhere...
