cd burning help

I've got a HP 8200 series external cd burner,win 98,HP record now software(yea i know)recording onto a PNY technologies CD-R generic cd.The first one i turned out would not play from the first track you have to skip to track two and skip back to listen to the first track,does it install a marker to start the player in the right direction?Thanks in advance for the help.....

you may have better luck burning at its slowest speed...
try the free version of nero if that doesnt work...
but you may want to uninstall the HP record now before installing nero
