No video on the monitor

I have an old computer that I am trying to work, and it hasn't been used in a few years. I don't know if age is a problem, but it stopped working which is why I am not using it anymore.

It runs on MS 98 and is a Compaq

Seems to boot, I see the light on the hard drive come on and hear it kick on then it quiets down...so I make sure I still have activity on the front of the box and I do but I am left with no video. My monitor just has a blinking power light like its searching but not getting any signal.

I know the monitor works b/c I use it for another machine
I used the current AGP video card I have for current computer which works fine and it doesnt work. I even tried one in the PCI slot still didn't get anything

Anyone have any ideas as to the problem

Is my power supply weak? Hard Drive Problem?
