For any dell questions, I recently put a TT 420w in my Dimension 4600, and it basically slid in! The holes were a mm off, but that wasn't a problem for my drill. So I would say without major mods, a standard axt psu would work in the 2400, 3000, 4600, and 4700, there may be more but these are the only ones I know for sure.

E-Power seems to be ok as long as were not talking about the cheaper base units.
Codegen PSU's in my experience are NOT reliable.... newer units may be better than older units were, as they sometimes change manufacturers, but I wouldnt take the chance.,... get a unit from the "good" list |

Well, then should I get this- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103927
But, only 16 amps per 12V rail (2). Is that OK for a system like this-
Sempron 2800+ (754)
6600GT PCI-E
1GB of RAM
Sony Combo drive
80GB Hard Drive
Aspire Turbo case with lots of lights and 5 fans. |
