computer not shutting down!!! help

Well i have been having a problem lately my computer keeps on restarting when i shut it down. i tried like 10 times in a row and it keeps doing the same thing. eventually it finally shut down.

AMD 2500+
80 gig WD
ASUS "A7N8X"
nvidia g-force 6800 gt
Window Xp Home

please help.

I'd run some spyware apps, to try to resolve the problem (without more info on exactly what's happening). Spybot search and destroy, Ad-Aware, Spyware Blaster, etc. Search the forum threads for a current post on the subject.

You may also want to describe the problem in more detail, if it's a hardware issue to be resolved.
