Hi
I have pentium 3 450mhz CPU with windows 98 . It had 8gb hard hard
drive
64mb sdram bus speed 100 mhz. I have removed the 64 mb sdram and
upgraded
the sdram to 2 x 128mb sdram bus speed 100 and falshed the latest bios
to
support the bigger hard drive which is now 40gb. I have also removed
8gb
hard drive. I had problem downlaodng windows 2000 abd xp home edition.
So
finally i managed to dowload windows 98 by partioning the hardrive to
2gb
and 37gb. the prodlem now i am facing is that when i try to start the
computer after leaving it off for extended period of time i.e 4 to 5
hours
it does not boot the whole system right away and freezes at windows98
screen when it comes up. Then i have to shut the computer down some
times 6
to 8 times before it boots up. Once it is booted it works ok. Another
problem i am facing is that computer is freezing on internet. I thought
that probably explorer version 5 is not supported by certain sight,
however
once i downloaded the version 6 the same problem. I am able to connect
to internet however unable to go to any sight or check my emails...my
whole
computer including mouse and keyboard is locked and i cannot used (crtl
+
alt + del). Please help.
