not all ram showing in bios

    Hi All,
I'm running a Asus A7N8X-VM mobo with an Athlon 2700XP proc and 512(single stick) Meg pc2700 ram. My bios is only showing , like, 480 Meg. I've swapped slots to no avail...everything runs ok, this is just an annoying little flaw that I can't seem to get a grip on. I'm upgrading the bios to see what happens, meanwhile...any suggestions?

BTW: All 512 Meg is good...checked it on another comp with P4PE mobo.
    Thanks..

If your using the onboard graphics, then that is what is pre-allocating the "missing" ram

lol yes id suggest to try to find a graphics card if you want to get all your ram back but if you dont play games then it will be fine. 480 mb is still a huge amout to have for m$ word.
