| Cant log in to other Windows XP user accounts
I have three windows accounts on my PC (Wife, Daughter, and myself). Sometimes If Im logged in and someone else wants to log in, Ill choose log off and switch screen names. When Im at the area that shows all three of our account icons and I try to click on one of the other two user icons the screen just goes black for a split second and then Im at the main accounts screen again. Im not able to log into any of the other accounts unless I restart the pc. Any Idea what happened and how I would correct this?
I tried to log into one of the accounts 5 times and then looked at the event erorrs and it looks like this one is the problem Terminal Server session creation failed. The relevant status code was 0xC0000037.
It showed up in the event viewer 5 times right after I did it. So Im sure this one is the one. But cant find anything on how to correct it.
I ran a chkdsk.
Any ideas on this?
Thanks |

Are you logging out of your account, or just switching users? Might have something to do with a problem running 2 at once, if thats what you're doing. |

Ive turned it off and no errors are showing in the event viewer. Things seem to be working ok so far. Whats your input on using fast switching. |

fast switching will probably slow things down....it keeps the other person logged in etc
probably best to turn fast switching off and just log off to switch users....takes like 3 seconds etc

Fast user switching isn't really so much faster, but does have a tendency to screw things up.
Are you able to use all of the accounts now? |
