Any good diagnostic kits?

I want to have a nice diagnostic kit for working on computers, because I am tired of this trial and error crap. My budget is around 300usd I guess. I have been looking at http://www.uxd.com and http://www.micro2000.com
I have only seen UXD products used in person and it seems like a good kit but I dont want to buy it and find out there is another greater and better kit. So does anybody have any recommendations or experiences with such diagnostic kits.. Oh yeah I plan on working on computers around the house,friends, and familys comps.

Ive never used one of those diagnostic cards before

In a way I dont see the point...unless it keep you from swapping out motherboards or something

I think just putting the money into some spare parts would be just as good of an investment

PSU
CPU for socket A and Socket 478 at least
RAM (pc100, PC133, DDR)


if a comp wont boot you strip out all the extra cards etc

see if its getting power (lights etc)

if not try the supply

if that doesnt do it try the CPU

if its not that then its probably the board, lol

And of course, if a comp wont boot, those tools in the kit are useless.

I have a POST code reader bulit into my mobo, it is nice when you are puting it together and it will not post.
