I am building my computer and im not getting any power to my computer??? is it because my motherboard is a 24pin insted of a 20pin (my power supply) my motherboard is a GIGABYTE "GA-8I915P Duo-A" 915P can yall check it out for me thanks |

no that board will use a 20 pin psu just fine, make sure you are not using any of the 4 pins the sticker was/is covering
you do however, also have to use a seperate 4 pin connector on another place of the board
are you getting any powe at all (ie fans spinning up)

Yah try pluggin in the 4-pin connector to your mobo, I believe it provides +5v, I have a system that has that plug and it runs w/out it plugged in but that doesn't mean yours will...

I had my power supply and the 4 pin hooked up and NO POWER???? did i do something wrong ??? HElp me out please |

WEll its not my power supply i got it checked today so can anyone tell me what may be wrong with it could it be that i got my power switch wrong or what???????? |

take the 20pin connector from your PSU and connect a paperclip from the green wire to any black wire and see if the power supply and your hd's etc. start... |
