One memory stick - fine, 2 memory stick - BSOD!

OK, ressurecting an old post. I have a very SIMILAR problem.
Runnin AMD athlon XP 3200+
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe mobo
2 sticks of GEIL dual channel value ram 512 each GE1GB3200BDC
Albatron NVIDIA Geforce 5700 FX
Vantec Stealth PS 520w

I ran memtest with it in dual channel it failed (around 562000 errors, no joke) ran memtest for each stick sep. no errors at all, even after extended periods of time. I get a BSOD usually immediately after windows loads (XP SP1) or as soon as i get memory intense stuff if it does load. Usually runs for 10mins or so if it does at all. I have heard that Geil is not compatible with a lot of stuff. Is that the case here??? Thanks for the help
