as you all know probably I just got a new monitor, its refurbed and it has this white spot on the front so I returned that and got a new one and just like the toher (got the same exact one) it has kinda like a blurr behind the words if that makes sense(atleast the white spot is gone) anyway about the blurr, the cables they provided are pure **** and was wondering if I got a new very high grade cable for 20 bucks (has to be male to male) will this fix my problems thanks for any answers...

uhh...can you remove the cable on the back of the monitor? just adding a male to male extension on it won't help. And what kinda blur is it? what kinda monitor? lcd, crt....lol. dvi or vga connection? as far as getting a cable....if it is jsut adding an extension it....it probably won't help..if you are replacing the cable completely, it may. If it is a crt monitor make sure you have the refresh rate high enough (make sure it is atleast 60, preferably 85) and if it is lcd, you didn't change the refresh rate or resolution did you. LCD monitors have a real problem working at different refresh rates or resolutions compared to ctr monitors. If it is lcd, also make sure you have turned on clear type so that you can see your text better . and sorry...i just had to say...that was your 666'th post.....uh oh..... lol |

I can remove the cable from the back, the monitor is a dell trinitron 21" refurb from frys. the blurr is like at the end of letters like double kinda like a ghost when you have bad reception on a tv you know??? anyway the monitor can go to 1800x1440 but its too small so I just use a cool 1600x1200 at 85mhz im 85% sure that its the monitor cable because I had the same cable with the old one and it did the same, I wanted to get a higher grade cable, oh wait forgot its vga or 15 pin think those are the same it has dual outputs 1 and 2 both 15 pin, so if I get a hd15 cable or the best I can get for 20 bucks will it fix my problem, and its only one cable fromt he monitor to the computer not extension hope that helps...

cool...it may...i'd try reducing the resolution and the refresh rate..just to make sure it isn't the monitor...drop to a standard 800x600 :screams in horror: and a 60 hz refresh rate....::shudder:: lol. Just make sure it isn't the monitor first..do you have another monitor..just an old one lying around to test....make sure it isn't the computer? even if it's a 17 in **** box from 10 years ago...as long as it starts with xp....lol...it will work to test it ....hope it works for ya |
