WinXP Pro SP2 and Hi-speed USB Controller
I did a fresh install of WinXP Pro with a slip-streamed SP2 CD. Something is acting strange with my USB devices now. First, my digital camera wouldn't upload pics until I loaded a Fujifilm USB driver. Never had to do that before. Then I plug my Atache' USB memory stick in and get this warning:
The memory stick works, but it does seem slower. Anybody know what happened or what I need to do. One of the nice things about XP was that you could plug almost any kind of USB device into it and presto, you were connected!
Thanks for any replies!

A very good suggestion! I did on one system, but not the one I'm having problems with. I'll try that right now.
Thanks.

yeah its definitely something with the drivers, esp if it worked before. ive had this problem many times and usually updating the drivers helps. try windows update first then google. they can be a pain to find. good luck

i had a similar problem with xp. i have a Gigabyte GA-8S661FXM mb with onboard usb 2.0 controller. i installed all drivers and had the same error (usb device plugged into highspeed port) looked at owners manual and it said the drivers for it was in sp2. installed sp2 and it updated my controller drivers. everything works great now. i dont know why you would get that error now after installing sp2. maybe slipstreaming it may have something to do with it. also download updated drivers.

On the other hand - the article fails to mention if the school has a policy about wearing t-shirts with guns on it... Odds are it does... So just like Techimo..... his freedom of speech is...
Talking back to a LEO isn't smart.
