SATA + IDE Dual Boot

Ok so heres the deal,

I currently have an 74 GB SATA WD Raptor drive, which is the only drive in my system right now - running Windows XP Home. I also have an 80 GB IDE drive, which I would like to instakll as a Linux drive. The problem is, every time I put the IDE drive in, its either the only drive thats recognized by my system, or it becomes the primary drive, and the Raptor becomes the secondary. My question is, how do I get my mobo to use the SATA drive as the Primary, and the IDE as the secondary?

I know how to set up the dual boot part of it.

use the boot controler in linux on the ide channel to boot to your win xp on sata

that's the easiest way i can think of.

Never mind, got it going..... didnt have the correct setting in the system Bios. Had t set to SATA only, instead of Enhanced Mode.
