I have run defrag under windows and ran some other defrag utilities(Speed Defrag and Defragmenter Pro) and cant seem to totaly get all my files defragged. I use to be able to get all my files defragged. Anybody know of a better defragger, preferably freeware. Heres a list of fraged files:

how full is your harddrive...also...most computers don't defragment every single harddrive..that dosen't look that bad but i'm not sure..if your harddrive is almost full that is your problem...you should have atleast 5% free space in order to get a decent defrag. also, you may want to schedule defrag to run the next time u start the computer...before windows loads...that way it can move around system files and such ..hope it works for ya! |

i have a 100 gig hdd with 9 gigs used, so i know its not the lack of space. i have also ran defrag at startup before windows loads, done that several times and the same files wont defrag. |

Run your defrag program while in SAFE mode... more files will be available for defragging, as they will not be loaded/in use.
