Can't recover secondary drive contents

Lost primary (boot) drive to a virus or something like that, so I reloaded XP pro service pack 2. Now my secondary WD 120 gb drive is invisable.The drive was partioned into 4 equal partions using Western Digitals DDO software. Tried resetting with ezbios but luck. Please help there is alot music and other stuff on there can't afford to lose it.

I would reload the drive with XP Pro WITHOUT the service packs and see if the drive is recognized. I tried SP 2 and had more problems than i care to remember.

have you tried using fdisk /mbr or /status to see if it has the master boot record on the main partition? also go into cmos and manually enter the drives configs then reboot if nothing go back to cmos and select auto and make sure lba is on.

also there is a program called final data it will pull up things u didn't think existed lol its really good. just make sure installation is not on drive your recovering data from.

Shut down and disconect the 2nd drive then reinstall win, after its up and running shut down and reconnect the 2nd drive reboot the drive should be ok (worked for me)

This problem came from reinstalling windows with the second drive still in place which caused the drive letters to reverse.
