Laptop screen light!?

ok why would my sony vaio laptop screen be flickering all the time when im using it its a PCG-K23 with a 15'4 widescreen with an IGP345M ATI Radeon Card Pentium 4 2.8 GHz and 512 RAM any one have any ideas...oh and i do have the latest software for it

the light could be dying? i really don't know...you could open it up and make sure everything is plugged in tight! if it's under waranty I wouldn't open it...i'd send it in for repairs personally...cus it's not worth breakin a laptop...those are very very expensive to fix!! hope it's something simple for ya

Yeah, I was just thinkin'... Some laptops have an automatic light system, where, in order to stay on longer while not plugged in from the wall, the light turns off.

When plugged into the wall, it doesn't have to worry about power conservation so the light is on. I was thinkin' that you might have a short in that cord. Just an idea.

my screen fickers too sometimes, i think that there is a wire which is not getting a good connection.
