I have a system that is slow slow slow. It shouldnt be however and I think I have found the problem.

rascom.exe is keeping the system's cpu utilization pegged at 100%

I have done a file search for this file and the search comes up empty. A google search comes up with 0 matches (this really made me wonder) When I close the file through task manager it immediately restarts.

If anyone has had this issue or knows what exactly this file is, I would luv to know myself

Hmm I am not sure what that exe is, however you can always use this handy program to remove it from the startup list.

I killed the startup command as well as the re-run command that accompanied it. It still came back. The file looks to be something to do with "speech" programiming but I cant find any programs off the top that make use of it

This is the wierdest thing I have come acroos in a while. Just the fact that no search engine finds ANYTHING to do with this file makes me wonder if this isnt something to do with some big Microsoft Black Ops project lol

If anyone has any advice or experiences with this, please let me know?

FYI, I do remote support for a large corporation and we see the "rascom.exe" error when the program does not detect a lan connection. Don't know if this will help anyone or not. The program uses a Cisco vpn client and drivers.
