and yes... a poor overclock can cause random problems including corrupt data and BSOD's or complications with startup and shutdown...
set your FSB to the correct setting, and or reset the Bios to standard settings...
If windows is already corrupted you may need to do a repair of windows or a reinstall... |

Uh, no...
None of this seems right. The "Windows has recovered from a serious error" is usually indicative of a registry problem or a drive access issue. Your system will likely blue screen or simply reboot itself without warning with memory, overclocking, BIOS issues. Hardware errors, especially those related to the CPU, are critical beyond the point where Windows will pop up a cute little graphical box on your desktop and say "Oops! Windows had a boo-boo!" No, this definitely sounds like it's a much more simple SOFTWARE problem, not a hardware issue.
Please use the support database at Microsoft.com before blindly stabbing for an answer in all the wrong places... usually if the error is built into a Microsoft program, their support site will explain it: http://support.microsoft.com
For example, this problem sounds a lot like: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;316424
or http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;326688
or the most likely answer: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;317277
