Samsung SD-616 DVD-ROM

This would be a minor problem if I could find some drivers for this thing but of course Samsung doesn't have any on their site. It was working earlier today but after I updated my chipset on my motherboard and started windows up again I got a new hardware message. I didn't think nothing of it since it usually installs fine and works. For some reason now it won't read. It makes the usual sounds like it is firing up and getting ready to load but my mouse and other functions get extremely slow and nothing happens. Any ideas? I might just do a system restore and not care about the chipset update. My brother will die for suggesting I update it.

I tried the restoring to my restore point before the chipset update and that made more problems. Lost drivers for some other stuff and still no go with the DVD-ROM. Maybe it has finally died on me after years of use or maybe something else.

This is even better! I unplugged the drive to get a better look at the number on it and now it doesn't even show up. At least I got some more information to help out if anyone can think of anything. Below is what I found..

SD 616B/DEL 63ER317186 F/W=BP06

Does any of that mean anything to any of you?
