| can't delete file ? help please
ok i have a couple of files that my comp will not allow me to delete i don't know what the deal is they look like they may be corrupted torrent files when i try to delete i get this message :
Error deleting file or folder:
"Cannot delete file: cannot read from the source file or disk"
can anyone provide me with some info as to how i can get this deleted, it's really getting to me.

try opening up a command prompt and using the 'erase' command?

You can try going booting into safe mode, and try deleting that way. It usually works for me.

i tried safe mode that didn't work, i don't know how to delete using dos in the command mode can someone assist with explaining how to do that ?

if you can tell us the file name and folder it is in, maybe we can tell you the exact command line to use to del the file from cmd. |

I have something like this but it happened after the computer froze up readding a (Virus-free) floppy disk. When I try to delete the folder I get "error deleting file" Connot delete file: file system error (1026). If I try to open it I get "does not exist". I have tried everything short of formating, have to much crap on the disk and it's not an option right now. If you want to remove this and it's something that is corrupt and not just a file running then your sht out of luck. You can format or live with it. |

yes the folder is F:\My Music\Torrents and there are 5 files and are named
_____DJ Z-Trip
____DJ Z-Trip
___DJ Z-Trip
__DJ Z-Trip
_DJ Z-Trip
this is exactly how they are named with the line in the beginning and everything and it doesn't tell me what type of file it is anyhelp would be great !
