| MSN not installing "error 1603" code
Well a friend had problems logging into msn im, she had it for two years on her Compaq with Windox XP. Then she got DSL, but the first week msn im worked fine, til a week later. She would try to log in and it said her password was invalid even though she could log in to her msn hotmail and other msn sites. So she uninstall it to download it again, so as she is downloading and tries to install it, she gets an error code 1603, yes she asked alot of people including msn site and nothing was given to her...only thing was told well it should be simple to download, it is, just the erro code is preventing her from it..so she got Trillian and well she sees her msn im list but everyone is offline all the time, well its not true since i am on, but off to her...but the main thing is how can she download and install msn im back into her computer without getting the error code 1603
moderators, it might be in the wrong board, so move it if it. Thanks

please try to follow these troubleshooting steps:-
go to the location C:\documents and settings\all users\application data\microsoft\
After that you will find a folder "IdentityCRL". Please delete this folder.
Now, again try to install msn messenger. |
