My computer has 1.1 ports. can a USB 2.0 Jumpdrive work on USB 1.1 ports?
Or do they need some backward capability support or something?

It will work, but it may be too slow to be pleasant to use.

Most jump drives dont actually transfer all THAT much faster than 1.1
Mine is faster by a factor of about 4 when on 2.0, however for 256MB, usb 1.1 still only takes a few mins. | |

most usb2 stuff works on usb1...just slower
