"secondary master drive fails" need help
hi, a couple of moths ago i used to have 1 cd burner and 1 cd rom on the same computer but then decided to upgrade to a dvd burner so i unplugged the cd rom and the cd burner off my computer. Today i am getting a new computer so i decide to take out the dvd burner and throw back the cd rom and the cd burner into the computer. As i am booting, i get "secondary master drive fails" even thought both my drives work. So i try to put the cd burner as the master and the cd rom as a slave and i got the same thing. I also tried putting the cd rom as master and the cd burner as slave and i still get the same thing. But also, the drive that is set to slave is recognized. and if i plug the dvd burner and the cd rom or cd burner, it boots up fine. what could be causing the problem?

probably the bios isnt set correctly?
double check your jumper settings but also look in the bios and make sure the secondary IDE is set to "auto" on both channels"Even a fool is thought to be wise if he is silent"
