You've GOT to provide more info.
Your OS, what the problem actually is. All we know so far is that your IE has been hijacked.
Why wouldn't you want to run Adaware, Spybot, Spyware Doctor, Microsoft Antispyware, etc?
Seems like a pain to remove possibly hundreds of registry entries manually, but that's just me. |

run firefox?
yes, you should be able to find the entry in the registry but your better off using a legit program to prevent damage to your reg. Also some of those Hijacks are sneaky and hide themselves in there. So altering one thing in the reg won't fix it.
Reg Key for your homepage: (XP/iex6.0SP2)
HKEY_USERS\software\micorsoft\internet explorer\main\start page

if you know what registry keys you are looking for, you can remove them, but you still have files on your drive to be removed. i don't know if i.e. keeps it's bho list in the registry, or in it's own config files, but they would probably be in the reg. you may also have to remove some startup items from the reg to stop the hijacker from being reinstalled. there are a few different reg locations which specify startup programs and services which you would need to check. also, the msconfig utility may show some startups to be killed off. if any reinstaller has hijacked a legitimate system file, then that definitely needs to be restored.
