Ghost 2003
Have XP and the problem involves Norton's Ghost 2003. Created an image and saved same in an external hard drive. C: crashed and had to reinstall WinXP.
Booted with my boot discs and the external hard drive could not be seen. Do I need to install Norton's Ghost or should the floppies see the external drive? Thanks.

there is nothing to install ghost ON, lol
I think you just need a certain boot disk with usb drivers
possibly you will have to install ghost on another machine to then make some floppies with usb drivers (I am guessing)"Even a fool is thought to be wise if he is silent"

Yes, I believe JP is correct. From what I remember, when creating a ghost boot disk, it'll ask you if you want to include USB drivers onto the floppy as well...
...Or is that when you go to create a ghost image through windows?
I know it will ask you along the line either when creating the boot floppy for ghost or when creating the image of the drive...

USB Ports
My pc had two usb 1.1 ports on the front panel and two on the back. When I purchased the external hard drive I got a usb 2.0 pci card. I asked then if I needed to disable the two 1.1 ports on the front. I think this is causing the problem of the ghost floppy not seeing the exyernal hard drive. I dunno.

4GB is about the minimum you want for good performance. I kicked up to 8 and I noticed the difference. Especially in games.
