| Quality of Video Capture Card Rips
ok so after capturing my first couple of things the other day the quality of them aint too good. i have the card that everybody had the problems with the drivers. anybody kno anything about making the quality better. and then the file sizes are soo big. i've seen way better quality ones that are a whole lot smaller in file size...hope somebody knows about this thanks |

What kinda capture card do you have? What software are you ripping with?

If you got analog noise on the signal, then most of the time it's poorly decoupled 5V power on the PCI slot. Try another slot, try a better power supply unit. Sometimes it's the mainboard's design where the corners have been cut though. |

i have a SAA7130 TV Card - Video Capture
Philips 7130 TV TURNER Video Capture PCI Card
but i dont have the phillips drivers..i used the lifeview or whatever everybody else decided to use for it. i'm ripping with windvr and the card is in the middle slot..there are 3 slots if that helps. in the first slot from the bottom is the 56k modem thing i think and nothin is in the top one |

You are supposed to use the drivers from the card maker - and we determined it to be an OEM job of a LifeView design, didn't we? |

OEM? lol i havent started college for computer networking yet so can u explain that to me. i tried to get the phillips drivers but they wont install.and i can't find them anywhere..but i'll wait on u to reply before i move it |

ok i see so those lifeview drivers which i've already installed should work like the ones i really should have so that shouldn't be a problem right?
so i'll try switchin the slots and let yall kno what happens...also if anybody knows anything about the remote let me kno |

ok so i moved to the top slot and i even tried to install the phillips drivers that came with it and when i double click on it nothin happens so i just went with the lifeview drivers. but the quality is still the same..maybe even worse....so i dont kno..if u can help with this and how to rip in smaller file sizes i'd appreciate it |
