ok, this is killing me. i have a client's pc that all of a sudden would not boot. it would go to the windows screen, and go back to the post screen, over and over.
after a couple of tries, i could boot into safe/networking mode, then after it randomly restarted again, firefox then Iexplorer stopped working (they were at first). no antivirus programs would run right either.
ok, i say, forget it, theres nothing important on the drive, i cant get online to ask for help, lets just clean format it. NOPE.
during the first process where windows copies files (you know, the part of windows setup where its not all fancy and actually installing- the very begining where its still just setting up)... i would get errors constantly, saying the file could not copy, retry or skip.. some files could be retried, others not, but even still, it sucked cuz at the end, windows could do nothing becuz not everything was copied correctly.
ok, this pc did happen to have an older speed cd drive (i had this happen with another pc b4, i just used a newer cd drive during setup).
NOPE. im still getting errors.. but.. after a few tries, i finally get thru setup with no missed files.. YES!!! finally i completed the setup... NOPE!!! somehow, i didnt set up a password after i enter the serial- i really dont know how this happened, as ive done this at least 1,239,262 times.. so, i couldnt log into the accounts..
ok, lets try again from the top.. setups good, its installing.. and then i get the dreaded BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH...
whats really good people? do u even get that during set up... does anyone know whats going on?
im getting the specs now...
