I paq computer problem.

I have one of those little computers called an I paq made by Compaq. It's a desktop not a palm. I belive this is what it is or I guess a small form type. I was trying to go to the command prompt as it started and tried f2, del. and other keys with no success then out of curiosity I pressed del and f2 at the same time as the computer started and now the computer does not start up. All it will show is the red Compaq logo and that is it. It's like it wont even boot from the BIOS. How can I fix this? Does anyone know what I did? Could I pull the battery on the board to maybe default the board? Thanks.

What model # iPac is it? Have you checked Compaq/HP website for help?

F10 is the standard Compaq way to got to the BIOS.

Is it one of the "Legacy free" USB only ones? Or are you using a PS/2 keyboard?

Oh I pac, I thought is was something like that. Yes it is a usb keyboard, there are no ps/2 connectors on this machine its all usb. I have not gone to HP's/Compaq's web site yet will soon if I can't get this thing to boot. I will check the model number when I get back home. Any ideas on what happened? It just shows a Compaq logo when I start it and will not proceed any further then that.

See I was wanting to get command prompt. It only showed that I can press f10 or f12. F10 is for setup and f12 is for network something or other.

f8 is the windows option to boot to command prompt, safe mode, stuff like that. if you were trying to boot to the command prompt from a floppy disk or cd then you needed to go into the bios and change the boot order. just for futures notice!
