Computer Messing Up Bad, clicking reversed

Okay just recently my computer started screwing up. When ever i left click on something it serves as a right click and that little menu comes up. And when i right click, nothing happens. Then everyonce in a while it will just start showing up with the right click menu randomly when im not even clicking. Is this like a virus or something, anyone know?

Never heard of a virus/worm affecting a mouse only. If you have (or can borrow) try a different mouse. Kinda sounds like the electronics or cabling between the mouse and machine flaking out.

Have you considered your mouse yet? Try giving it a good cleaning and see what happens.

Sounds like someone has changed your mouse settings to lefthanded in the control panel.
Control panel>printers and other hardware>mouse in windows XP.
