Monitor's DCC info no longer being read

I have a ViewSonic E90f+SB that I had to send for warranty service. There was something wrong with the vertical display controller, or something, and only a thin horizontal line was visible.

When I got it back, it worked again, however, the DCC information was no longer being read. I think that DCC is sent over pin 15 on the VGA cable, but the pin is in tact. I get the same problem when connecting the monitor to another computer.

I can install the drivers manually, but this is more like one of those annoying "It should work for convenience's sake, but it doesn't" problems.

Does anyone know how this might have happened? Could something have been rattled out of place during shipping?

TIA!

Well, they exchanged the internals of your monitor for something only less broken, but not OK. I'd have it exchanged again.
