Controlling start up programs

where can i control which programs start when windows starts?
i have a really annoying tool bar that i dont want to start when window starts

im sure this is in another thread
but when i searched start up programs
i got 191 threads

Windows XP pro

Go to start>run>'regedit' or if it does not work go to 'regedt32'.

When the menu comes up, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>WINDOWS>CURR ENT VERSION>RUN

Then delete whatever you don't want starting up.

I dont see the program :/

is there a way to temporarily pause each one so i can isolate which one it would be?

my savior
ok so that program is gone
bue i get system utility page every time i start windows
and everyting i press ok it restarts
so i just checked the box that says dont show it any more
was that an important windo?

No, that wasn't important box. It just tells you that you've used msconfig to modify your system startup.

Hey, sorry I had to leave early, I was very tired, you meant that media source go toolbar right? Well, you can just click the x on it in the upper righthand corner of the bar, and it will not load up anymore.
