    Exclamation I Don't Have A Desktop!!!!

Well My pc (Labtop) Has a big problem. I don't have a desktop. Whenever I boot up my labtop it takes me to "my documents" and there are no icons on the desktop, no start button, and to taskbar on the bottom. The only thing that is there is my background. I have windows XP. I'm not sure if I have a virus, I ran a virus scanner, but it was a free one so it could have been crap. In my documents I can access everything that was on the desktop and everything on the C drive, but I have no idea what to do. I would appreciate any help. Thank You.

Have you tried opening up task manager and having it run a new process by typing in:

Well I cant open the task manager because of 2 reasons. 1. the control+Alt+Delete doesn't work on my labtop. 2. I don't have a toolbar on the bottom right of the screen were i used to just right click and i was able to access the task manager.

Have you tried booting it to "Safe mode"? (Press F6 on boot process somewheres...)

Icons and stuff should appear there. While in safe mode, run some spyware scans and virus scans (one at a time tho! Doh!)
