    installation problems

Alright guys, yet another problem with bf2.
Just bought it today. So i installed it and I got to the screen where it says to adjust your microphone. Well i went to plug in my headset and then the realtek wizard popped up. When i got back to my chair....my mouse wouldn't move at all.
I figured i had just accidently knocked it out, looked back it was in securely.
Well anyway i brought up task manager and everything froze. I hit ctrl, alt, del 2 times after that. It didn't respond, so knowing that i would loose the installation, i regretfully did a hard restart.

Well anyway when i went to unistall it this error occured
    ">SetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp(469)
    pAPP:Battlefield2(TM)
    pVENDOR: DICE
pGUID:*and a whole mess of numbers and letters*
    $10.50.0.125
    @Windows Sp2(2600) IE 6.0.2900.2180

Then when i click ok this shows up
    "error code -5001"
    and it has some suggestions
    empty temporary internet folder
    check internet connection
    close backround processes

So i know the installation got messed up, and i can't unistall it through control panel...so what can i do. I already tried deleting the bf2 files in the folder, but then it still didn't work so i just restored them from the recycling bin(even though they weren't deleted from the harddrive they were out of the folder so i though it might help).
I tried re-installing before and after this, it starts up at the bf2 screen but then it says a startup file is missing

    Thank you for any help
edit: the only thing i can think of now is maybe a system restore, but i have not made any points, as far as i can remember...so that wouldn't do me a favor

You might try deleting the files in your Temp folder.

I did it, it didn't help
I deleted all files in TEMP FOLDER, temp, and temp 14(it was empty) except for 1 file that i wasn't sure of.
    "Unicows.DLL"
Microsoft layer for unicode on win9x systems
So i figured i would just move it to a new folder i created.
Still same exact problem and error

why don't you try to re-install it without worrying about uninstalling it first. at least then you will be able to successfully uninstall it if you have to. just skip the microphone setup part this time and do a computer restart instead then try to set up the microphone.

I did try to install it again. When i click to install it it starts up and says preparing to install Battlefield 2 and shows Battlefield 2 in big letters...but then it just stops and does nothing. The Battlefield 2 picture also dissapears, and I'm left staring blankly at my desktop
edit:here is a pic, after i deleted all the bf2 stuff
everything i could find at least

I read that and this is what i did. Maybe i read it wrong?
Tried to uninstall restarted through windows(not physically pushing the button on my case) and then tried to uninstall again. Same problem. I tried the same way but i powered off by pressing the restart button on my case. Same thing.
Then I tried both ways of restarting but this time trying to reinstall.
    Nothing worked.
Thanks for the link anyway Meese
Maybe I am reading it wrong, I tried at 1:30 in the morning and I tried when I had drops in my eyes to enlarge my pupils. My eyes got irritated when i looked at the screen.
Well i read and try again.
