r all laptops slow because i get tolled that a lot i am thinking about bying one but everyone tells me they cost to much and they are really slow can anyone help me  |

And no offense, but you'll get a better response here if you use better grammer and spelling, at least from some of us old farts
Laptops are inherantly expensive simply due to their size. Take a full 3 ghz Pentium tower and cram that into a 2 inch thick notebook that weighs less than 7 lbs and can run games full tilt for 4-5 hours on a battery charge...yeah, it's going to cost you.
However, laptops out there right now can game with the best of them, short of the Uber systems from Alienware, etc. Heck, even Alienware has laptops that can play all the games out there. |

Sorry about the grammer.....So u can only go for 5 hours on a laptop like say u r on a instant messanger how long would u be able to stay on there?? |

with it plugged into the wall forever as long as you have power. On battery? Depends on the specs of the laptop again |

So y do u even need a battery if u can just have it plugged into the wall or if u have the battery u can take it anyhere u want ok i am getting it now!!  |

the battery is for when you want to use the computer without plugging it into a wall.

Laptops will most definately be slower than a desktop of the same price, but that is because you pay a lot for the mobility. |

Remember to take care of your battery, replacements aren't cheap. I've got a laptop that won't run for more than a couple of minutes on it's own one the battery, and the replacement is a bit over a hundred bucks. |
